FC Schalke 04 Announces New Coaching Staff

Head Coach Appointed

German Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 has announced the appointment of Thomas Reis as their new head coach. Reis, who most recently managed VfL Bochum, has signed a contract until June 2025.

Assistant Coaches and Performance Team

Alongside Reis, Schalke has also assembled a new coaching staff that includes assistant coaches Matthias Kreutzer and Mike Büskens, as well as performance coach Werner Leuthard.

Kreutzer, a former Schalke player, has a wealth of experience in coaching and scouting, while Büskens is a club legend who has served as an assistant coach, interim manager, and technical director at the club in the past.

Leuthard, a renowned performance coach, has worked with several top clubs in Germany, including Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.
